Chef Shane Frisco

Biography

Shane Frisco was introduced to the restaurant industry at a very early age.  When he was just 11 years old he
worked in a restaurant that his father had vested interest in.  Although Frisco was too young to cook for
restaurant guests, he watched and learned from the cooks as they taught him how to make the daily specials
for himself during his lunch and dinner breaks.  Later (at age 13), he would take a job at a restaurant in
Langhorne Pennsylvania as a dishwasher, but would still sneak off at every chance to get a quick lesson from
the cooks.

As an adult Frisco went on to cook at some of the top restaurants in the Philadelphia area - everything ranging
from casual theme restaurants to French fine dining. “I had the fortunate pleasure of working alongside some
of the best chefs in the world”, he said.  When asked who his most influential mentor is, Frisco replied, “My
parents – definitely.  Growing up, my father was the master griller and my mother was the world’s best short
order cook.  She could put together a masterpiece in minutes with left overs from the refrigerator.   Now I look
to my wife Sharon who continually inspires me, teaches me, and pushes me to discover new and exciting
ideas."
While pursuing his culinary studies, Frisco had developed ten
successful businesses in industries ranging from graphic arts to
manufacturing.  Later Frisco relocated to Orlando Florida where he
received certification from Walt Disney Culinary University, then went
on to further his food knowledge with the Culinary Business Academy.
While he did learn from the two institutions, he considers himself
primarily self-taught through experience.

In 2004 Frisco left the restaurant business to pursue opportunities as
a personal chef.  In just one year hebegan receiving more service
requests than he was able to fulfill, which launched his reputation as
the most sought after personal chef in Central Florida. He has cooked
for national celebrities as well as tens of thousands of people world
wide - and today he ranks as one of the most influential personal
chefs in the entire state of Florida.
Frisco has aspirations for opening a restaurant in the future, but says he's "waiting for the right opportunity".
